I'm aware that these subjects have been covered before, however using the search function there doesn't seem to be a thread that has all the up to date information in one place. So this is the purpose of this thread.

I'm hoping for information on:
- the total package for a new joining SO and time to upgrade?
- an idea of an average months roster i.e. routes, standbys ect?
- which fleets SO operate on?
- I currently have 2000 hours all in medium jets with a background in UK Loco's, would this be competitive for recruitment?
- what is the general attitude towards SO's within the company?
- what is your job in the operation of an average flight?

That should be enough to start the ball rolling; any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I heard most have 3000+ hours when they apply...so probably not competitive enough.

Check out the thread "SO Training - Whats involved?"

I was asking similar questions and had some good answers.

As a guide I had a bit over 2000 hours mil when I was interviewed and accepted.
