Anyone got any hard facts on any AME's being laid off outside of America?
I heard of 4.5 at Manchester, UK.

I think www.aviationjobsearch.com (http://www.aviationjobsearch.com) Line Maintenance and Base
Maintenance vacancy advertisement area's speak for themselves?!

Increasingly, many employers are unable to attract or retain skilled staff.

Not sure when the true economics will really hit MRO in the UK. Unfortunately, I'm sure that it will so get as many types endorsed on
your AMLs, be prepared to travel & stay positive Ladies & Gents! :ok:

If it is true, it must be line stations as the hangars are full till May.
Then we at Monarch would be the last to know.

So far only heard of two pilot layoffs. One at Jetstar and one in UK.
I'm wondering if it'll get to us bearing in mind we've been running on fumes since the nineties.

The 4.5 at MAN has the dead cold hand of an HR type about it. Not a real life figure. (I wonder what sort of bint gets in the sack with an HR creature)? No need to answer that.... Just idly curious! :E
