Hi Corporate Pilots

I am hoping to hear advise and direction in helping me make a decision.
I am wanting to make the change from airline to corporate. I have 10000 hours, lots of command time, Boeing time and was last typed on the ng.

I am wanting to maybe hear where I can go to do well with salary and what equipment I should get typed on. I am willing to go anywhere and fly lots! I am not American and can't do the Europe thing, so it is pretty much Asia and the ME.

Not having any PIC on this new type I will even be looking at right seat for awhile if required. I am fine with that. I already have overseas contract experience so I have a good idea what all that is about.

I am not really interested in the small Biz Jets. So I am looking at the Global, Falcon 604 etc. I will even check out the opportunities on a BBJ. That would be the obvious one for me but not if it is a poor contract. I am willing to buy the job. I know it is something not really too popular amongst the ranks but I am motivated to work hard on some nice/new equipment and make some great money.

I also understand that these are not perhaps the best of times when it comes to a Global economy and that it is very competitive out there. At the moment I am not employed, and do have the cash to pay the dough for the training. Fortunately I was able to sell, sell, sell before the market decided to bottom out. I am in my 40'ies so have some good working years ahead of me. I have enjoyed the airline years but I know it is time to make the change.

Thanks so much and take care.

You got 737NG rating, that qualifies you for the BBJ...
With your experience, I would go that way.
Do your recurrent training with Flight Safety. They have many BBJ customer clients.

As far as "buying yourself a job", will please the few who cannot afford to grease some palms.

Happy contrails

If you look for BBJ, why don't you try Royal Jet based at Abu Dhabi?
Royal Jet - Private Charter Flights (http://www.royaljetgroup.com)

The accomodation is an issue but that could resolve itself with the downturn. You can live either at Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

They are or will be looking soon.

Hi
I would suggest two ratings, the Citation Jet series and the Citation XLS.
The XLS is the best selling jet in its class and a very very cool ship to fly, infact I am typed on the DO328-jet, Premier 1, C525 and XLS and whilst I love the CJ the XLS is the best aircraft I have flown it is a pure joy...

But seeing you have a 737 on your ticket then you hae the world at your feet?!

without any kind of doubts: CL604/605

But first try on the BBJ

its a sign of pretty desperate times if someone with 10k hours is going to buy a type rating on a midsize. Are you considering it because you hate what you are doing now? Sometimes I wonder if the change of career from airline to corporate (or the other way round) is driven by a grass being greener sentiment. If so, it's probably worth pointing out that at the moment there isn't any grass anywhere...

stay where you are and wait for things to change. A proper job on a midsize will come with a rating - the commitment should always be both ways.
