Steps to reach from ZERO hours to a FO seat in Emirates Group.

Dear friends I am new to the forum so I hope everyone can kindly assist me in finding out information as to achieve my life long dream.
I am from the Trinidad and Tobago West Indies and I have not yet started to train to become what I have always dreamt of. In my final year at University and was wondering how do I reach to the Emirates?

I am considering going to European Flight Training in Port St.Lucie FL which is very economical for my pocket and at the facility I would be gaining both my FAA and JAA licences. I am unaware of the licences and specific details in relation to fly in the Western Hemisphere so can someone please help me figure this out. I don't want to make the wrong move and start something which would not be of benefit to me.

There you will find the First Officer and Captain requirements as well as much information on Emirates and Dubai. Where you are going to is quite a way from where you are now.
