I've just updated my logbook and I've noticed that I've done 851 hours (Stick hours) in the last 12 months. If I do my 84hours per month for the the next 3-4 months, I'll be close to 900 in 12 month limit!:uhoh:

I heard that a few FO's were close to the 900 limit as well...any one?

On the surface, this seems like a simple question.

We know that there are 24 hours per day, and 365 days in a year. Simple multiplication suggests that there were 8760 hours in the last 12 months.

HOWEVER!

The trap is that 2008 is in fact a leap year, hence, since this same date last year (ie in 2007), there have actually been 366 days in the last 12 months. Once again, multiplying by 24 yields an answer of 8784.

So, there you have it: 8784 hours in the last 12 months.

709.1hrs in last 365 days!

I used Logbookslave (http://www.logbookslave.com/) to calculate it. Best thing since sliced bread!!! I never have to do my logbook manually ever again!
