Hello,
Today i was out for some spotting at ESGG. And as usually we get the A330-300 during the winters, but the problem is there was no refueling on this flight. So it flew 11 h with 400 pax...I tried to calculate it right, but i'm always overshooting MTOW.
How is this kind of operation even possible?

What you mean 233 ton MTOW? Payload plus full fuel? We used to do (in another life) TLS to HKG with A333 at lower MTOW (205 I think) All be it with little payload and that was 12 odd hours depending on the time of year?

Well, i newly found a diagram that shows the distance at different payloads.
37T payload for this flight would make a little bit over 9000 km. Wich is just the distance to HKT. So i guess this is right, right?
Thanks!

Did the aircraft fly 2 legs or 3? We sometimes fly 3 leg flights from Turkey to Denmark with our A321's... first fly to Billund, drop off some passengers and re-fuel, then fly to Copenhagen to drop off the rest and load new passengers but we dont refuel in CPH...

This one might have done the same? Maybe a next stop in ESSA or somewhere else where they refuel...

Founder: The flight use to refuel in sharjah but this time it went non-stop.
It sounds quite much you know :E

JED SUB DIST 4,897 FL330/370 SPEED LRC TOW233,000 TIME10.93 PAX 281 LIMIT =MTOW

11 hour is easy, in this case with 281 pax BUT NO REDISPATCH and FAA reserves, so with a lighter aircraft than ours and redispatch, 400 pax could be achievable.

13.03 hours is achievable limited by MFC but limited payload.
