I heard on the rumor network that there is an employment freeze at Qantas.
Can anyone here substantiate this.

The reason I asked the question was that melbourne heavy maintenance was apparently going to be hiring engineers for the 737 hangar and it all suddenly went quite.

Also now hiring casual LAME positions and permanent AME positions for
SYD Base Maintenance.

According to their careers website, they are still hiring for LAMES, Business Travel Consultants plus other management positions. :}

People with LOI's are still getting called for start dates, so there's still movement. As to actual figures/forecasts/rates....??
Does that include flight attendants? :confused:
