Priceless! (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_yorkshire/7687600.stm) The Council was not amused. := :* Hehehe.

my immediate reaction is to promptly ensure that a car is parked there at all times! they can't remove it surely... i mean - it would be parked INSIDE the double yellow lines and therefore not on the 'public highway' making it exempt from ticketing...

no?

It seems to be an odd shaped car...looks like they painted around the temporary road patch. I guess the car was parked part on the curb.

I have seen an example in Australia where a centreline was painted straight over a piece of road-kill.:D:ok:

They've probably all been offered management positions with the Council by now......shame to waste such natural talent after all. :E

I guess they only get paid when a section is finished hence the comedy bulge and car lifting antics that have happend elsewhere.:}

Or in Scotland where the contract clearly stated relay the tarmac surface on the A96. They did.

Next week the council was out with metal detectors looking for all the manholes and drains.

Just reminising again, but long before yellow lines, I used to park a moggie outside my flat which was on a road between Cromwell road and Kensington hi street. Lorry drivers used to take a short cut through but had to get round a 90deg bend. They moved my car up onto the path more than once.

One one occasion, someone had taken my place! I drove round the block three times...in uniform BTW, before someone moved so that I could get to work.
