Please dont take this post seriously as it would just be interesting to hear what your thoughts are on this;

**This is NOT going to happen, and is NOT true**

If Michael O'Leary woke up one morning and thought, ''you know what i have conquered Europe (almost) and now im looking for a bigger challenge'' and thought "Lets start Ryanair Continental" and started offering long haul flights to the West and far East, and leased some 747's then what do you think will happen?

Interesting to think what might happen?

Imagine a what a 747 would look like with the ryanair artwork and blue and yellow interior inside, would ryanair still offer the cramped seats, no entertainment, bus style advertising, it would be hilarious to see!

a 12 hour flight in a Ryanair aircraft, now that would be interesting, or would it?

And Oasis tried it out of HKG. As of yet, no-one has made a long term sucess of the long haul low cost model. The expenses just don't fit the philosophy.

Well, if someone with the cash reserves decides to change the model and offer a "no frills" service for next to nothing ...

Pick a suitable airport pairs with low traffic, nice long runways, either close to major population areas or easily accessible by land or air (short haul lo-co network connection)

Kit of a fleet of widebodies, mabye a few A380's, pack them with "Standing" seats like this (http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2006/04/25/business/20060425_SEATS_GRAPHIC.html) (just how many people could you get?) and maybe offering a chance to pay extra per hour for access to a space in a room like this (http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23407355-details/Welcome%20to%20sardine%20air:%20Airline%20introduces%20tripl e%20bunk%20beds%20in%20economy/article.do) to get some sleep.

Franchise out to a Mcburger joint to provide the in-flight catering ... charge for any/all in-flight entertainment.

Offer no baggage allowance, but make it clear the cost per Kg and collect at check in.

It's all about changing the model.
