Read your comments Brian-load of old rubbish! CAS is alive and kicking and moving forward and looking forward to what can be a promising future! Negative comments are unproductive!

I have nothing recent about how it goes with the US Cargo operators.
Atlas, Polar, Evergreen, Kalitta etc.
xxx
I left the US airline industry after 1991.
Ex PanAm pilot, I had a few of my ex-colleagues flying for them.
They mentioned using L/M from Europe on their Middle East and Asia flights.
Maybe they still do.
xxx
Suggest maybe you apply with them.
Obvious, you cannot operate US domestic sectors without a US visa.
But you could do their international flights, nothing prevents it, legally.
If you have 747 and/or DC10 experience, even better.
xxx
They often have a fly-along Engineer, and a L/M...
You could be based in UK, or Europe...
Best of luck. Times are hard nowadays.
:)
Happy contrails

hi dragline 2,
re cas, casworld cargo is not in a position to operate the old das machine 5x-joe. It is stagnating in mse with no prospect of moving in the immediate future. The lgw office was closed on 1aug with everyone out of lgw being made redundant. I know i was the chief loadmaster. The operation failed due to nigerian banking problems. The hanger at mse is still on the go on a basically care and maintenance basis. there are a few staff still employed at mse, chief eng, office/admin manager and quality. The hope is that the hanger will become viable again. The facility is Continental Aviation Services and are affiliated to Afrijet Nigeria. Of the many staff who have been made redundant the majority would be happy to return, myself included. I have spoken recently to colin carr to offer my services if and when an operation was to recomence.

Had heard this week that OMNI are supposedly putting a DC10 into MSE
for a C check

Still trying hard to keep the MSE Hangar alive! Have now had two OMNI DC10 'A' Checks and a DC8-63 of Air Charter Express with another booked in for Jan. Expecting to revive the EASA 145 approval process in 09 and for a decision on the previously registered 5X-JOE DC10 airframe.

Hi BT, CAS not now intending to operate the former 5X-JOE aircraft, hopefully funding will be forthcoming to fund re-registration and a ferry flight for 'C' check and then sale or lease. It would be a shame to break her!
