Anyone know what is happening with Orient Thai. Last I heard grounded untill 5 Oct.

I have some friends over at orient thai flying the MDs. Looks like the MDs will be grounded but the 747s will continue to fly mainly charters and maybe Bangkok-Soeul.
This info is still unoffical..

I was in bangkok on Sunday and there was a heap of 747 orient Thai's sitting on the tarmac. These craft have beent here for the past few months...don't look like moving!

Back to business as usual...well, sorta. AOC returned, expecting return to ops in November (per BKK Post article 8 Oct).

Anybody know who are the Chief Pilot/Flight Engineer at OrientThai and Phucket air these days.

Orient Thai B-747 noted low and slow over Bangna heading south-east, either out of Don Muang or heading into Suvarnabhumi this afternoon.
