I have many books but still have not found one that I can use for those that learn by picture. In particular I am interested in good colour, and clear, Met pictures and then simple but comprehensive POF; could be Book or software - any good tips.

I have the Bill Wagtendonk which is great but want bigger and better pictures for the young ones - it is mainly rotary I am interested in.

Thanks

Not rotary but good graphics:

Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge (http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aviation/pilot_handbook/)

Airplane Flying Handbook (http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aircraft/airplane_handbook/)

I have also used this:

Principles of rotary flight (http://www.helis.com/howflies/prflight.php)

To explain the very basics.

Hi Gnd,

check out www.pilotsreference.com (http://www.pilotsreference.com)

The PilotsReference Guide book is a s much picture based as it can be. There is a small preview on the site and a larger one on google books...
pilotsreference - Google Buchsuche (http://books.google.de/books?q=pilotsreference)
