Well. The Chinese have indeed done what was intended.

I for one would like to wish their space program all the very best.

Go China. While the world is sleeping or worrying about mortgage issues, men are orbiting our little sphere at altitudes we can only dream of.

Will he or will he not bail us (US) out? Who gives a toss?

Yer, and if they could have just laid their hands on a few German Scientists they might have accomplished the same near half a century ago like the Cousins and Ivan did.

Given that the Chinese media rather unfortunately preempted the space mission's radio exchanges "from space" with mission control before the rocket even got airborne, how long before someone asserts that they've done a "Capricorn Wun-ton?"

Remember those (not) pyrotechnic footprints at the Olympic opening ceremony...

They invented gunpowder (their gift to the world) and rockets, better late than never.
