Hi,

I was just looking around on the RAAF site and have noticed that Mathmatics is required, does anyone know what Equivalent Mathmatic Courses are accepted? would it be the same as Qantas?

Thanks

Aaron

I presume you mean for pilot app

Out of Victorian year 12, maths methods will do (with a good grade) in NSW this is the middle maths-whatever thats called (maths B maybe?). other states i wouldn't have a clue but most are the same as VIC and NSW

If you wan't to do engineering/tech degree you can get away with the middle option, but Specialist maths (highest victorian maths) or equiv will help to prevent you struggling a lot.

I think you'll find the ablity to do simple vectors in your head will be harder than a Qantas Cadetship application, because the RAAF does a lot of vectors and things like hi-lo-hi navs with pairs of aircraft splitting and rejoining at exact timings over targets, etc - without an FMC or autopilot. (on Pilots course, and later in their careers, clearly!)
