Hi all, I've asked this question on another thread but its a bit of a hijack to the original topic so I thought I’d start my own thread. Basically I'm wondering which foreign airlines have aussie bases. So far Korean, Asiana and EVA have been mentioned. Does anyone know of any others?

For those that work for or have worked in this type of arrangement what comments would you make? Is it good or bad? I know of some people that commute but don't know them well enough to ask what its like.

Any comments appreciated.

I understand Vietnam Airlines have offered recently a month on/month off type deal. Commute to/from Aussie if ya want to.

I dont believe EVA has a base in Aus.. Crew are based in Taipei and commute for work. They have at least 8 block days off per month and 9 the next month, which allows them to do that.
