There are a number of free download programs that include a cloaked software bundle. This buried bundle initiates tracking of your surfing habits when logged on and reports these habits to advertising companies such as doubleclick. These parasicital programs latch onto to your system and stay alive and in effect even if you delete the program they were originally downloaded with.

Although it has not been proven that this practice is a danger to the security of your personal computer information, it has been objected to as an evasion of privacy nontheless.

If you wish to learn more about this and pursure a program to eradicate these parasites click on the link below. I did, and was amazed (and concerned) at the test results. This program I am recommending was created by the same person responsible for the creation of ShieldsUp. This is not a virus or a danger, it's just the principal of the practice.

Been there, read that, got the program :)

Actually, if this sort of thing bothers you, you really should disable cookies in your browser as well.

Five sodding minutes! It's enough to make you click the ads out of sheer boredom.....aha!
