A very interesting legal update from the Cathay Pilots Union.
Does anyone know who in Cathay management this refers to?

"It clearly indicates that the Defendants have lied to the court when giving evidence under oath, not only in Hong Kong, but also elsewhere. As you will appreciate, the content of this new evidence is extremely significant and we will keep you informed of further developments."

the Defendants have lied to the court when giving evidence under oath

It'd be quicker to list the names of those that this doesn't refer to.

Barley and Davies lied in the UK Employment Tribunal where decisions were based on their false testimony. The jurisdiction of the matter was decided by the House of Lords . I am sure they will be investigated if more evidence of that perjury has come to light.

But what is the 'significant new evidence' in Hong Kong? Have their witnesses there been telling the truth? Very interesting indeed.

The Swire motto is Esse Quam Videri - a Latin aphorism that may be translated as 'to be, and not to seem to be' - in other words, we are what we say we are; we do what we say we do.

At least there is still one Union that doesn't roll over and wag its tail on command!

Oh dear. Not much Esse Quam Videri going on in those 2001 Star Chamber meetings by the look of it. Mr Swire will not be pleased. It will be interesting to see if the slippery zoologist can survive the latest.

The latest newsletter on their website is dated Feb '08. Is there something more recent than that? I'm not on their mailing list but it sounds like it might be interesting to read.
