I've yet to see Sony mentioned in this forum.
Are they good or so-so?

Besides, it was WIN98 which went titsup, not the laptop. <g>

If you use Sony DV / still cameras they provide all ports and connectability you would ever need for them.

At the job I have just left Sony laptops were provided for use by most staff. The larger (read expensive) ones are great but avoid the little baby ones.
We had nothing but trouble with them crashing and the touch pad/mouse never worked properly despite innumerable reloads of Win 98.
Battery life is crap compared to the two year old Dell's we had as well.
CTRL, ALT , DEL ........ Shut down......
