Is there anyone out there who experiences more than 15fps in FS2000. (With full graphics). Would someone recommend a particular graphics card?

Yes, depending on scenery at the time anything from 25 or so to 60 something. Creative GeForce256 annihilator, based on the Nvidia 256 chip set. There are many factors that affect framerates in fs2k, decent cpu (600 or better) at least 128mb ram, fast hard drive with lots of space.

I have a Matrox G400 - Celeron 533 - 128mb Ram and the most recent driver updates (very important!) In FS98 my frame rates range from 60-90. In FS2k I get 18-60 depending on what I am running. Scenery is a killer sometimes and it as well that scenery add-ons should be removed if they seriously reduce FPS. Some people on the forums complain bitterly about frame rates but so long as you get around 18-30 you are OK - your eye only manages 25.

However, you do need DirectX7a and the latest patch from Microsoft - there are two, one for Standard Fs2k and one for PRO. You should be sure you get the right one. Patch 2b it is.

It depends on your system spec.

I run a Diamond Viper v770 TNT2 card with 32 mb. Plugged into my PII 266 with 96mb it gives me back about 25 fps.

If you want faster rates try going to Sparse scenery airports, and get the best gameplay you can. After all, I would rather the plane flies well than look at all the pretty buildings. I often wind the graphics down until I have landed. Then put the grahics all the way up and taxi in.

I'm buying a new PC soon though !!
