A good word of warning, however it may have been within a whisker today of everyone being totally grounded for the duration.

AIG not only writes insurance, it is the major part of the world wide network of shared insurance. Public risk, pax liability, even part of hull insurances.

All insurance companies pass on parts of their risk.

Had AIG gone under then EVERY commercial and private Helicopter and Aeroplane in the western world at least, would have been grounded.

In short the world wide economy would have ground to a stop without the necessary insurances on wheels, wings or hulls. not to mention all other types of insurances, workers comp etc.

I would just like to pass on my sincere gratitude in ever so humble fashion, to that magnificent idol of the world, UNCLE SAM of the USA.

Without his generosity in keeping AIG afloat, this morning our time, we would all by now, be sunk.
Amen, tet.
