One hears very mixed things about the company, since Iīm not an insider I canīt really comment on them. Met an Excel pilot the other day and he seemed happy. Talked to another guy a few days earlier, he was spitting fire and wants to move on. From the outside it looks not bad.

The company exhibits the same pros and cons like many others, basically. If you have been there for a while, you have seen quite a bit and heard lots of stories about the bright future and so on and so forth... The point I'm trying to make is that even though there is (justifiably) considerable frustration within DC Aviation, the company's prospects are better than average, the equipment being offered is interesting and that there are some great people working there.

For non German speaking individuals there is right now no opening, unfortunately. But there are a handful of non Germans working there who get along quite well with English...

Alle applications have to go via 'Interpersonal'. No way around it yet, unless you are ex Lufthansa and > 60.

The information in 'ppjn' has been 'adjusted' by DC Aviation itself. There is a salary scheme, but everything is subject to negotiation. Rosters do exist on some fleets, on others they are being changed on a daily basis, almost. It is still possible to be based somewhere within Europe, but they're looking into cutting back on this. Expect to pay for all your travel expenses with your own credit card (even though DC does offer the issueance of a CC with your name on it), to be reimbursed afterwards.

In other words: not a perfect world, but still a good and stable company.
