US Airways...and yes, they do fly to Europe. They have been, since the early 1990's. It's a very sore topic among the US Air folks. Especially those on the East coast (USA).

US Airways (merged with America West) now use "Cactus" as callsign.

Currently US Airways use the designator 'USA' and radio callsign 'Cactus' (the Americia West callsign).

As from 19/09/08 'USA' will cease to be and all America West/US Airways flights will use the designator 'AWE' with callsign Cactus.

'USA' has been dropped for safety reasons due pilot/ATC callsign confusion.

All very confusing, bit like TCX going from TopJet to Kestrel at the end of the Thomas Cook / MyTravel merger!
