Indeed the above virus email was just sent to me - and I did to it what I always do with unsolicted emails / attachment files - I binned it without even bothering to open it.. .. .Now listen up folks - you must NEVER EVER run an executable email attachment file, even if it's from somobody that you think you know, but especially so if it is unsolicited - no matter how legit it might look !. .. .At best it's more than likely to be just infected and simply spreading itself about - as virus's do.. .. .At worst it's an executable that contains code which is designed to trash your PC hardware, e.g. the hard disk drive, i.e. when you run it, it physically damages the HDD heads by crashing them violently against the stops, and it takes all of 0.5 seconds to do this, e.g. you execute the file and in the blink of an eye your HDD is f**ked beyond repair !. .. .So, just think carefully about it, prior to the next time you decide to run an emailed executable file.. .. .Ps. Please do tell all your friends et al about this - they'll thank you for it.

Islander. .. .It's like wheel-up landings - there are those who have done it, and those who are yet to. I'm in the first group too.... .. .If you dont have antivirus software, take a look here. It will do a (free) virus scan to check that it is gone.
