Seen high above Lydiard Park late this morning. Reg is RA 82044 and a quick Google shows it to be an Antonov 124-100 of Volga-Dniepr Airlines. Another outsize cargo on the way to somewhere hot?

...and yes, the photo is heavily cropped.

There is one here today at East Mids. They are often in here...... Rolls use them to deliver Engines to Tolouse amonst others.

Frequently at Brize Norton, despite the desparate shortage of ASP space there at the mo.

There was even a Ukrainian AN30b in there last week.

This one's sister UR82008 been seen several times at Funningley recently; there's even been a Dubai Air Wing C-130, a couple of DC-10s and even a DC-8! The general consensus seems to be that they're transporting horses to and from the sales.

Unless, of course, you know better...

82008 would be an Antonov Design Bureau aeroplane - not VDA

Pretty well all the operators are working like dingbats most of the time, frequently in and out of the MOD's favourite desert locations as well as supporting our European friends with the same objectives.
