I have just heard through the grapevine that Tom Box (ex Streamline) died yesterday. I understand that he had a bad stroke. This is truly sad news. Does anyone have any details? I have tried to contact Annie without success.

Hi Fred, hope your well.

Yes I,m afraid i've just cheked the company website and discovered the sad news regarding Tom (Nigel). He had a massive stroke last Monday I believe and had been in an induced coma ever since, unfortunately he died at about 16.30 yesterday. I like many had fond memories of Tom as most of my line training on the Shed was with him and I am deeply saddened by this tragic news.

R.I.P Mate.

I just got the news as well.

Tom did my line training when I joined Streamline. Great guy, good teacher and wonderful fun on "night stops".

My thoughts are with Annie and the kids.

Tom RIP.

Rest in Peace mate.

Tragic news. I knew Tom from the early days of Streamline. Some of my most memorable flights as an F/O were with Tom. He was a great guy with a great attitiude towards flying and a wonderful sense of humour. My thoughts are with his family.

Deeply saddened to hear the news.
Like a few others here, Tom did some of my line training in the old shed,
he was never short of a quick gag or comment to put a new hire at ease.
He made going to work at night in the shed a pleasure !!

Only the good guy's get taken early !

Thoughts to his Family.

Tom Box was rare..an honest, hard-working and kind man who thought more for others than he did for himself...he put his family, his friends and his colleagues first. Those of us who knew him thought the world of Tom Box. The world is now a poorer place without his smile and his friendly presence.

We miss you, mate.

Firstly sincere sympathy to Annie and family.

I like others that knew Tom was very shocked and saddened by this so horrible news.
I met Tom during my Shed days and flew many sectors with him on the DHL757.
I have many happy memories of his personality, the way he would listen then reply with words of wisdom and always encouragement.
Ive had many a fab trip with him the most notable being a Prague sunday evening around Xmas time last.
God rest you Tom, keep an eye on me as I cruise around. I will always remember your smile.

Very sad news.
I did some trips with tom some years ago , still saw him in the crewroom one in a while but we didn't fly together anymore.
A very cheerful person who was a pleasure to have around.

God Speed Tom, you will be missed

Whenever Tom's name appeared next to yours on the roster the thought of slogging a Shed around the skys on a winters night didn't seem too bad.

A sad loss to all who knew him, especially his family who he often talked about with love and affection.

Still at a complete loss for words, shocked and stunned like many.
I can only reiterate the thoughts and sentiments of everyone else.
Go back as far as 97 with Tom and just have many pleasant memories down route.
Annie and Phil, my thoughts and best regards are with you.
