Hello

I have recently re-installed my Epson 1250 Photo scanner as it wasn't working properly, and now it doesn't work at all!

I think the problem is down to the scanner's TWAIN drivers (Epson TWAIN 5.5), and despite several uninstalls, reboots and re-installs the problem still hasn't been solved.

Can anyone supply any advice on how to cure the problem?

Is it possible that a corrupted Windows 98 TWAIN dll has been corrupted? If so could a re-install of 98 sort it out?

I'm running a 1GHz, 128Mb, Windows 98SE machine.

Hope someone can help

Best wishes

I had lots of problems installing my Epson scanner. The instructions with it were totally wrong.

However, a phone call to their help line on 0870 163 7766 sorted the problem very quickly.

Have a very very close look at the pins on the cable plugs at each end (including on the scanner and on the card. Some SCSI cables (and plugs especially) are very temperamental and easily damaged.

Thanks for all your advice guys.. .My scanner is now working, Epson recommended a full re-install of Windows 98, so I went the whole hog and formatted my HD.. .Haven't had a problem since.. .. .Mark
