The Uni-Top latest ad only has WUH(Wuhan) and SZX(Shenzhen) as bases. Last I heard still have 60 years limit.

As for Maxair the e-mail address given is not liked by Mail Demon and keeps coming back.

don`t think it`s sustainable to operate 742 or 743 in middle China.even PVG cargo flight running at low level now.

The T&Cs question still lingers? Does ANYONE know what the T&Cs are for Uni-Top? My search of "350" can't access an ad that old.

If someone applied and decided not to go, for whatever reason, Do you still have the T&Cs?

Hi There,
I do have the contract, however we are few captain's and first officer that we decided not to go because they hired ABDUL SABOOR, and if you don't know him, try to ask. PM me for the contract. Fly safe and stay wherever you are now.

Seems like they take forever to get going. Since 2008 if I am not mistaken. What is this Saboor guy's background, does anyone know? Understand he was at Macstar in Turkey for a very short time!

Is he looking for greener pastures, or does he not fit into some of these airlines?

Stay away from Uni-Top as long as Abdul Saboor is there. He is a dangerous man that is on a serious ego-trip. Tries to force flight crews to fly dangerous aircraft. I have proof of this if anybody needs evidence. STAY AWAY:=

I was a mechnic at StarMac Airlines & the following is a list of DMIs & most were expired, also the crew flew the aircraft for three months with number 1 generator inop. The MEL list would not be legal in civilized countries. Somebody should report this man to the Chinese CAA & other avaition authorities.
Please find the following items which currently inoperative or needs to be addressed immediately.

1- EGPWS INOP.
2- TCAS INOP.
3- TAT PROBE LEFT SIDE INOP. (IT IS CONTINOUSLY HEATING ON THE GROUND, IF LEFT ON, THE TEPERATURE RISES TO 60 OR 70 DEGREE CELSIUS AND BECAUSE OF THIS OVERHEATS OTHER SYSTEMS SUCH AS EPR LIMIT COMPUTER AND MORE.)
4- GROUND SAFETY RELAY LIGHT ON IN FLIGHT, WHICH MEANS IT PUTS OTHER SYSTEMS SUCH AS THRUST REVERSER ON NO. 1 AND NO. 4 SYSTEM IN FLIGHT MODE AND IT COULD DEPLOY IN FLIGHT. IT IS AN ABNORMAL AND CRITICAL SITUATION.
5- ONE RUDDER PEDAL STEERING IS NOT ENGAGED ON THE GROUND.
6- ALTERNATE TLIT ON LEFT BODY GEAR IS NOT WORKING, IF PRIMARY FAILS AFTER TAKE OFF, CAN NOT RAISE THE LANDING GEAR AND MUST LAND BACK.
7- START VALVE LIGHT ON NO. 2 ENGINE DOES NOT ILLUMINTE.
8- START VALVE ON NO. 1 ENGINE COMES ON DURING FLIGHT, THE CHECKLIST CALLS FOR SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE IN FLIGHT IF CONDITION PERMIT.
9- ALTITUDE SELECT FEATURE DOES NOT WORK AND IT COMMANDS THE AUTOPILOT TO LEVEL OFF THE AIRPLANE 2000 FEET ABOVE THE SELECTED ALTITUDE AND STOPS DECENDING TO THE DESIRED ALTITUDE.
10- NO. 1 ENGINE N1 GUAGE INOP.
11- NO. 1 ENGINE CSD STILL INOP.
12- NO. 4 THRUST REVERSER STILL INOP.
13- NO. 10 BRAKE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, HAS REACHED ITS LIMIT.
14- NO SPARE TIRES, 2 TIRES NEEDS TO BE CHANGED IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
15- APU BLEED DUCT LEAKING AND CAUSES EXCESSIVE HEAT IN THE AFT CARGO COMPARTMENT, IT COULD BE A FIRE HAZARD, NEEDS NEW SEALS.

Hey Classicpilot,
I guess you forgot that he was FIRED from Orient Thai, Phuket air, Medix, Orex air, and MESABA in USA. He was claiming that he was a COO for a company in Thailand that NEVER exist, only on paper, check with THAI DCA.

I have posted elsewhere, but as all the threads mentioning UT seem to drift, I will shamelessly cross-post.
UT are not ready yet. Those in the recruitment process are however being told that they will travel to China as soon as they have done all the paperwork (at the applicants expense of course).

Hey Guys,
I just heared that this guy Saboor has FAILED his CAAC ATP test, he is not a check airman or anything, right now doing only an office work, the source is from someone next to him. Anybody knows anything about his background?

As far as I can tell there is not much chance of Unitop getting going anytime soon (I mean with their own aircraft). The point of contact in China has obviously been told to stall crews. She does this by dreaming up more and more obscure requirements which are 'required' before travel. This has not stopped them interviewing more and more to add to ' the list'.

slowto280
11th Oct 2010, 09:25
Unitop has been talking about operating their own aircraft for AT LEAST 5-6 years now. Are they any closer now than they were then? I am wondering if this is just wishful thinking..............:ugh:

Max-Performance

And the costs incurred by the applicants are heavy. Multiply this by a few hundred and you can get to very large sums indeed.

BTW, could he be also the same "brain" behind the semi-obscure cargo carriers flying with old 747's at Georgia's EUREX CARGO, Armenia's VERTIR CARGO and VETERAN AVIA or even Pakistan RAYYAN AIR Cargo?

Yes, you asked for any comments?? from Singapore or Southern?? I flew for Singapore and you can ask him Why he was terminated?? I don't know about southern. I know that with Thai Pacific, the company was only on paper and never got there AOC from THAI DCA because of a big failure on paper works. Focus air went under because of him, ask there pilots. Star airlines was already there with there AOC in place, How can he claim that he work for Star airline from 2008 to Present when he was FIRED in May of 2009?? What a Lier !!!!!! They hired him to run the show after his termination from Medix, then he was terminated. Why he never mentioned that he was terminated from Orient Thai, Phuket air, Medix, Star airlines??? Why he never mentioned that he busted 4 tires in Afghanistan trying to make a smooth landing?? Myself and 3 other captains went to China for interview with UNITOP 3 months ago and we met him there, and guess what?? We all left.
Fly safe my friend, by the way we are looking for 744 crews.

This is the info I've managed to gain on UniTop thus far:

*a start-up who have yet to get off the ground but have been busy recruiting ie compiling lists of potential candidates for at least a year, if not longer.
*only recently (last month or so) gained their AOC from the CAAC.
*supposed to have begun flying operations on March 4 2011; as far as I know their 2 (or 3) 742s are still sitting on the ground.

If anybody has more or better information, feel free. As posters on other UniTop threads have noted, seems to be somewhat of a chaos club. So either they'll fade away or go into recruitment
panic mode because they have a deadline to meet.
I don't have a working recruitment email either...doesn't help that their website is currently offline.

Hello Everybody,
What the pilots posted before about this outfit is TRUE, they will go down really fast with those pilots in the management, stay away from this outfit, until they get SABOOR out, then they might be ok otherwise they will shut down just like when he shut down Focus in USA. All the best,

Saw a very tatty looking 742 in madras today from unitop. Ref the saboor chap. Never heard of him but just a glance at that cv which was posted says it all. Such a short time in each of his jobs. Either the guy is extremely unlucky to get jobs with companies that go bust or he is dodgy. Sounds like dodgy to me.

Now it looks like Unitop are going though the recruitment process again, this time around it's A300 crew.
Has anyone from the 747 got any current feedback about the company and lifestyle? It looks like Mr Saboor is still involved.

I don't know about UniTop, but I did go to the assessment of pilotcareer.aero in Nuremberg. It was only a 40 minute sim which I paid 1190 euros. After I finished where I did well, they told me that UniTop would get in contact with me straight away. 3 Weeks later I have not heard anything. By looking at Unitop's requirements from pilotcareercenter, I immediately understood that pilotcareer.aero is a scam. Their requirements are much lower. Further more after continuously calling their 2 phone numbers plus the mobile phone of a "patrick thomas" that was in charge of the Unitop project for pilotcareer.aero I get absolutely no answer. The gig is up of for them. They have taken whatever money they could and ran. STAY CLEAR OF pilotcareer.aero!!!!

Hi

I applied 1 month ago, got a first positive answer few days ago asking me to send license, logbook, medical, passport for further screening.

Got again a positive answer that I meet their requirements (I have only CPL/IR and less than 1000TT).
They will provide information of next step of the assessment only via telephone, and they ask me to call them...

Sounds very strange for me...
