After a fantastic but rather dry, slightly sterile olympics its nice to see Boris Johnson, Mayor of London bringing humour and wit back to politics and sport.

Now, anyone for wiff-wafff?

Why does the BBC have to block anyone not in the UK from seeing its TV output?

It's called the licence fee...! :ok:

So why don't they block radio output, too?

Because you don't need a licence for just a radio, only a TV.

Yes, but radio output is financed by the TV licence fee (see the link above). Calling a TV licence only is a semantic device. And, in any case, in the UK one can watch these clips on-line without having paid a licence fee.

That's interesting because now it's viewable in HK whereas previously it only showed a 30 sec advert, hence my whinge. However, there are other clips elsewhere which just show an advert.

It's bound to make it on to You Tube soon. Marvellous to see Boris in full flow. We could do with more characters in politics!

Are they larfing wiff im? Or at im?

Who cares? He made millions laugh and that's an achievement. Even the Scottish control freak had to crack his face.
