I was just cruising my local craigslist and I came across this item (http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/clt/798546685.html):

Beautiful U.S. Navy relic to add to any collection. Handed down through the family for years, this rare find is believed to have been flown from 1957-1991 in a Navy A-4E Skyhawk. Made by Douglas Aircraft Company. Complete, with the exception of the rocket pack (for obvious reasons) and the parachute, it even includes the original signal beacon, oxygen tank, and life vest (see picture), as well as original harness, ropes, etc. I will accept cash only for this from serious buyers only. call me if you are interested at (214) 578-1678 to take a look at it.

An interesting find indeed.
However, it is nigh on impossible to "export" ex military equipment from the USA without reams of very expensive paperwork.
I tend to keep my collection to Martin Baker seats.

I am now desperate to finish the Type 9 Mk2 (Jaguar) seat that is 98% complete and made a useful contact to someone who had access to some badly needed bits - However I have lost contact with said person.
If anyone knows of a source of bits for said seat I will gladly have your babies!!!:\

Fifteen years ago I scrapped about 30 Ardour Turbines after trying to find a home for them, suppose I should say "Bugger" why did'nt I think of that, however I did get a nice holiday in Cyprus with the good scrap value then available. And have just given to my sons Regiment two Victor Bang seats with everything except the bangy thingy, for them to make into specials for their Mess.
