they don't..... Klook at Bombardier order books nothing under Mac air........ go figure [unless they have purchased 2nd hand ones which is highly unlikly due to scarcity!

Two SAAB 340 arriving within the next fortnight an ATR42-500 next month and 4 ex SAS Q400 rumored later this year or early next but these could been ATR72.

There are no ex SAS Q400's available as all these aircraft have gone to other operators

There is a cn 600's available for sale which is so over priced a broker who is selling the aircraft is on one of these quick rich schemes.

There is a cira 500's ATR72-212A [ATR72-500] for sale which for its age has one hella lot of cycles US$10m, though at the moment there is bucket loads of interest around the aircraft. It is rumoured it will be sold to an European Company

The ex SAS Q400's have gone, most to other operators and even some for freighters...... Dont get me wrong I wish well for ******, though at this market, I think the deliveries of ATR42 / 72 are far fetched... unless they want -300/320 or ATR72-200's

So no news:\

I hear that management is trying to do away with the ‘Two hour rule’ in this new EBA.
For those that don’t know there is a clause that says that if the duty is extended by more than two hours of the original roster duty then the pilot has right of refusal. Yes it is golden, and yes it is used.
You could call it a lifestyle rule.

Ah, that would be the "lifestyle" they try to flog in their recruiting ads.

There are four undisclosed sales of q400 and three q300 yet to be delivered, ATR has more awaiting completion, mac air does not have to disclose company purchases as its a private company, i would think.

The new owner has had ambitions of running an airline (ansett) for a while now and may have placed the orders previously, with other plans in mind. Which might be why the Q400s' were alluded to so early after take over and made no sense after the addition of the single ATR.

Just an extreme possibilty.

The two hour rule is also in the Jetstar CAO 48 exemption ,its just that crewing and 99% of the pilots don't realise it.
