I counted 1 bum note & no fret buzz in all of that -fantastic!!

Still, you can't beat rock & roll...

That's very impressive - it's the 3rd movement (allegro) of Brandenburg Concerto no.3, I believe.

Beyond the technical virtuosity, you have to admire the transcription of the piece - originally scored for orchestra!

The most astonishing rendition of this concerto I have ever heard is "Switched on Bach", by Wendy (Walter) Carlos on the Original 1960's Moog synthesizer. Well worth finding.

Parapunter,

Indeed - Segovia "legitimised" the guitar as a classical instrument, and some of his transcriptions were very influential. My favourites are those of selections from Bach's Cello Suites, and the Violin Sonatas and Partitas.

Although there is still a wonderful energy about Segovia's recordings, for those particular pieces, I would highly recommend Nigel North (lute) or Göran Söllscher (guitar - 11 string!!!).

All very well legalizing the guitar as a classical instrument but cellos, in the hands of four Finnish chaps, make good work of heavy metal.

I said Metallica should have a full orchestra back in '87! Took them 10 years before they did.
