So the estate agents have called for a stamp duty holiday, regardless of all the money they have made in the past few years. But why stop there? How about no purchase tax on new cars, no VAT on aircraft. To help what's left of the manufacturing industry (the real countries earners) no VAT on capital machinery/equipment.
Estate agents stop bleating afterall you helped fuel the ridiculous house inflation in the first place. The amount you have made should tide you over for a few years yet.

I must say, the HIPs are my biggest irritant. If ever there was a obvious money grab with the most token attempt at any kind of functionality :ugh:

Well I got away without the HIP thing, 3 bedrooms only here.

As for the estate agents commission if and when they manage to sell this house, they forget to get me to sign their terms and conditions, so will be fun haggling the comission seeing as I have no idea what their rate is!! :E

Ya know, there are some historical precedents for disputing 'stamp acts.'

What?! I'm just sayin'....
