We have just received the following message from the UK Microsoft Retail Distributor "We now have a confirmed street date from Microsoft of 9th November for Flight Sim 2002 Pro/Std."

I had hoped I would have mine from the US by now, but it seems there is a distinct lack of PRO at the moment. But it will be cheaper. $49.99 over there.

Just noticed that Avsim.com are charging $74.95 for PRO!!

You can buy it from www.dabs.com (http://www.dabs.com) for about £45. Then you get £15 back if you already have a previous version. And I am referring to the PRO version here !!

Get the PRO version for £30. Thats more like it !!

BTW, I have been playing the Beta version of FS2002, and it is EXCELLENT. The new graphics are superb, the ATC is very well done, and the new "Virtual" cockpit is the business.

Go get it guys, it will be worth every penny.

Nope tried the DABs site too and neither the M$ Shop nor the search engine return any results, a URL would be great

There are some conflicting prices around. Quite interesting really.

Here is what I found at Electronic Boutique today. Release day as expected is November 9th.

EB price for FS2k2 is £69.99 for the Pro version and £49.99 for the Standard version.

I am having mine sent from the US. The PRO version price varies but I have seen it at $74.99 - about £51.75. - a fair saving really.

You pays yer money and you takes yer choice!

Buttons! Sorry didn't see your question. I have a friend who sending it to me as a 'gift' and that keeps the price as is.

You may find that the Dabs prices won't include the cash back voucher! As the price probably includes that already.

It may be a better deal here Computemate (http://www.compmate.com/brwscheck.cfm?js=1&ID=CDFS300&usrwidth=1024) prior to release you get 5% discount on the price of £57.99 plus you get the £15 cashback voucher.

Or here Justflight (http://www.justflight.com) and you get the casback voucher plus £10 voucher to spend at Justflight, price £59.99 :D
Hope that helps.

For those that have used it...does anyone know if the aircraft are based on airlines?

If yes, whats its say down the side of the B734 and the B777 ?

Odd question I know! It should win me a bet though!
