Does anyone know any information about a Dornier crash landing this morning in the IOM. Airport closed apparently.

I trust everyone is safe.

Local radio reporting that an "incident" has occured, said to be a burst tyre.

Airport and adjacent roads currently closed and emergency vehicles reported to be on runway. Inbound flights diverting and nothing going out.

Would appear to be FLM Aviation's one on FKI603 from Gloucester (Manx2 flight). :confused:

Crash landing - Rather overdramatic to say the least !

Low vis at IOM, aircraft made normal weather approach, landed, burst tyres on landing, all pax safe, runway now blocked, end of story !

Airport emergency involving Manx2 aircraft - Isle of Man Today (http://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/Airport-emergency-involving-Manx2-aircraft.4334213.jp)

From Manx Radio
Burst one tyre on landing, taxied off runway and stopped. But was too close to runway to allow traffic to use it.
New tyre now fitted and expected to be clear in next few minutes

1station,
Do you work for the BBC, or any news reporting organisation come to that? :}

Almost as good as the QANTAS incident were the aircraft 'Plummeted' to the earth. Rather than a controlled emergency descent. :ok:
