My first commercial jet flight as a passenger was towards the end of May 1971, in a BEA Trident ex-Le Bourget (Paris). However, I have read elsewhere that BEA stopped operating from there in the late 1960's. Any update/info on this please? (I had an open single ticket and remember the choice was either - an Air France 727 ex-Orly or, the above and naturally, wanted to try out the British product!)

From "An Illustrated History of British European Airways"
BEA had been flying into both Le Bourget and Orly since 1968.
The last flight from Le Bourget was in October 1971.

Thanks 'Renfrew' - I obviously had it 'base-over-apex' - i.e., started flying there in '68 as opposed to ending...

I think actually it was Orly that started in 1968.
