I have been working part time for a small aircraft engineering company now for around 2 years.
I am wondering what methods are available to become licenced. I am 23 and hold an A level, with no other qualifications.

Sit the exams, continue to gain and log your experience and then find a few hundred quid for the CAA :ok:

Plenty on here and on Airmech.co.uk if you want to find out more about the modules required :) There are also a lot of courses run by colleges/universities to gain your licence usually along with a degree, these are mainly aimed at guys working on turbine aircraft though, if thats something you'd like to do?

Good on you, Go for it, its well worth it in the long run, suprised no one at work is helping you........

OK go here and look at this lot

Documents Categories | Personnel Licensing | Safety Regulation (http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=177&pagetype=68)

Then open this up and read it

ELGD | Personnel Licensing | Safety Regulation (http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=177&pagetype=68&gid=777)

The CAA do it in book form, they send them out to companies, so see if yours has a copy....... I take it you are doing Engines and Airframe, if so look at A1 and B1......... the B is the important part and gives you A, when you have looked and got more questions come back and ask some more, we will help :ok:
