Hi all !

I have read that there is a huge pilot shortage in Russia and, since I do speak the language, I was thinking about the possibility to fly there after getting the CPL/ME/IR.

Does anybody has news about pilot jobs out there ?

Спасибо !

Apologies for raining on your parade, but it's currently closed out to non-Russians and the Terms and Conditions are very poor in any case. Some of the ex-USSR states are considering opening up to outsiders, but as it stands the Air Law exam is in Russian, CAAs don't want to know and pilots are resisting it strongly. The airlines really have no interest in taking outsiders as they know pilots will come, build up their hours, and run off when it suits them as the pay isn't good enough to keep them.

If you have the language, make friends with some local pilots and keep in touch with it through them, as information isn't plentiful and you will have serious fun making contact with anyone who speaks English in most of the airlines.
