Went to Farnborough on Wednesday and whilst there went wondering around the TAG and Farnborough hangers. In the Gamma Hanger or TAG hanger there was a blue Spitfire, unfortunately didn't take the serial No. Anyone know he story of it or who owns it?

As far as I know, the only blue flying Spitfire in the country [after Legends] belongs to Peter Teichman, and normally lives at North Weald, together with his P,51, Hurricane, P,40........................There is a Mk19?
with a contra-rotating prop that is also blue, but it lives in France.

:ok: Thats the one, thanks. My colleague was more interested in looking at the Biz jets in the hanger - I was more than happy to stroke and admire the Spit while he did his Biz Jet thing.

Would this be the French one then, at Duxford last week?

Yes, that's the one. Peter Teichman's example is the same colour, with Invasion Stripes. but not a contra-rotating prop.

As far as I remember, the French contingent of that Spitfire, P51, and P.40N returned to France last Sunday evening.
