<A Gurkha, who was waiting to hear if he could remain in his Nottinghamshire home, has died. Purna Gurung, 55, who lived in Sherwood, had applied for indefinite leave to remain in the UK but was not allowed to work in the meantime.>

Come on, surely we should have had some sort of decision in principle about this by now?! Purna Gurung deserved better, he deserved at the very least the courtesy of a prompt decision instead of being made to wait around at the behest of some really important office workers at MoD.

I'm not sure if the delay was caused by the MoD - it's more likely to be the Border and Immigration Agency. Whoever it is they've really done well this time. W:mad:s! If Purna Gurung had been a Bulgarian drug-dealer with a nice sideline in sex-trafficking, he'd have been welcomed with open arms. :ugh:

Agreed, but someone needs to act as sponsor - why can't these people get together and talk and make a ruddy decision?

Disgraceful.

There's no other words that I could repeat here.

HM Gov should hang their heads in shame.
