I am sitting in my room at our hotel in SAN, trying out the latest way in which to lighten our wallets on layovers. This is "On Command" net access. I am curious as to anyone elses thoughts on it. I had high hopes when I saw it was up and running, but am disappointed with the product.

Basically they want ten bucks for a 24 hour period - that bit is fine, but the pages hang up frequently. The keypad is easy (sits on your lap - I/R remote) but the computer cannot accept the characters quickly enough - and I type with two thumbs!

he hook is to be able to access your web mail account, but it refuses to accept MSN, my ISP, which is is a nuisance. That leaves me to "surf" and little else.

This has a long way to go to be worthwhile. Also, the telly only shows part of the web page - maybe 75% - you have to shift left and right to see all the bits.

Just a few notes for those that may be interested .
