Some of you wizened hacks will probably already know this little fiddle. It basically involves altering two registry settings to increase the number of streams (connections) that your browser will make to the internet. It was intended, I think, to limit the number of simultaneous downloads.... but... if you only open one window, ie will connect using the maximum number of streams.

Hey presto... mucho speed increase. It's achieved at the expense of increased bandwidth, but if you won't tell anyone else, neither will I :)
