Hi guys & gals,

Anyone of you got interviews with HKA in August 08 ? I just wanna get some tips on questions they may ask and anything for the tech interview.
Never flown a B737 sim before, maybe that is some pressure !

Thanks in advance.

Dude, you crack me up :}
Walk in upright with your knuckles dragging/not dragging on the ground and you are in !
seriously, there are that many drivers leaving, they would have to consider taking on cadets.
Chill :E
PS is the position 777, 787, or 330 and how long did they tell you it would take for command

If you can't fly to save yourself, are prepared to make death threats or perhaps like to sexually harass Korean cabin crew then you will be the the perfect candidate! :ok:

Sorry, unless you are a gweilo:suspect:

Here are some possible interviews procedures at HKA

If Wu-zy is running the interview:-

You don't need to say anything, you'll just be listening to him tell you about his "thousands and thousands of hours" of experience, and how his new pay scheme is the way of the future, Cathay and Dragon are soon to follow his scheme......If you're lucky he might be wearing the vest his mum knitted for him, and he won't ask anything about you, just talk about himself......so you don't need to do any research lah!

Othewise they might run you through a few scenarios

Radio call - all you need to do is take 5mins blocking the radio with jibberish and give a complete incorrect readback

CRM - All you need to do is find a Korean Cabin Crews number and ring her and tell her you love her. That's really good CRM!!! And that comes all the way from the top! Taught by the Cheif Pilot himself!

Flying - Just land as hard as you can! Literally...any landing for HKA that you can walk away from is a good one....this is what they base their philosophy on, coz they can't do any better.

Basically if you can follow the singaporeans round like a good little puppy dog, back stab anyone to get ahead and tell everyone you'll be the first to get an upgrade an firmly believe it yourself, then your in. In fact I know a F/O who can help you in that regard. He's probably hacking this site as we speak.

The more I think about it, the more I think this is another propaganda attempt by those idiot snakes. Who in their right mind would even consider asking about HKA unless they were locked in a cupboard for last 2 years.

Thanks for all the postive and negative feedbacks. :D

I envy all the pilots who has been there, done that, etc..... :ok:

Like everyone else, we have to start from somewhere no matter how good/bad a company is.

If it is really that bad, I will take some flight hours/experience and leave:cool:

A little company like HKE/HKA needs time to grow before getting things right !

You are right with your attitude, but unfortunately you are wrong about an airline needed time. HKA needs to be rid of its inadequate managers if its to get better, not time. And it also needs to be rid of South East Asian Captains for the standard to improve. You have no idea how corrupt and unsafe these guys really are.

Good luck dude, you are thinking right but if you want to stay alive, start your career elsewhere.

Try Pacific Airlines in Vietnam, you be 1000 times better off with regard to training, self respect, and an employable CV.

HKA would only take Asian pilots

Good attitude, but think about this.

A guy flying a B737-800 just quit to go fly a Cessna 208.

Seriously.. HKA is not the place to be..

As I've said before, if you don't work/ have worked in HKA, don't comment on this post and take your complaints elsewhere,

That pretty much sums up the state of the industry.

Rather than actually have the ability to debate your way through a point of difference with some level of decorum and pride, instead, you chose to carry on like a two bit whole with a potty mouth full of drivel lacking both articulation and culpability.

My complaint, to wit: the disgust at type of language used..... remains.

Here's to you. You truly have achieved.

"tips of questions"??

i think the management of HKA also checks out this webpage.

you are smart you get the job, you don't need tips. the only tips you can surely get is working in a service industry.

walk-in and demonstrate you are fit for that job!

You have no idea what these guys have been through. If they and myself want to express our frustrations at being cheated by unethical scum, then that is our right.

The thing is you didn't comment on the topic at hand, you complained about profanities. If you had bothered to "discuss" like you say, the issue and then commented on our choice of words, then it may have sat better.

It really p!sses me off that bible bashing god bothering idiots like you, who think they know it all, stick their nose into issues they know nothing about.

If you don't like whats been said in this thread, simple, DON'T READ THE THREAD. There are plenty of other old men threads out there for you to discuss your pensions.

Should read

If your smart, you should stay well away from HKA. My friends from SEA however could use some tips on basic airmanship.

Walk in and demonstrate your are fit for the job at HKA by giving examples of how you can sneak around behind your workmates backs to stab them, do anything unethically possible to get ahead, pay corrupt officials for your licence and then walk around with such arrogance that even Neil Armstrong would feel inferior.
