Sorry people, I would ask you if the United Arab Emirates are regulated by JAA, FAA or by other... anyway what is the medical sight limit in that country?

They call it CARs (Civ Air Regs) and looks more like JARs.

The UAE GCAA, while completely autonomous, is a hybrid of JAA and FAA regs. Licenses (FAA ATP and JAA ATPL) are directly convertible into GCAA ATPL licenses without any additional work. The Air Law exam (required by all license holders) is about 50-60% FAA, 30-40% JAA and 10% local. The medical requirements are almost exactly like the FAA, right down to waivers and eligibility demonstrations. As a mater of fact the form you fill out for your medical is nothing more than the FAA Airman Medical Application Form 8500-8 - have you had a regular menstrual period?

Burners and Out :ok:
