How do I include text from the previous poster and embed it in my reply on this forum?

I.e., where the text is included in a shaded window?

TIA

Or just press the quote button

I just did it, I think? Doesn't show up when 'Preview Post' button is activated.

How do I include text from the previous poster and embed it in my reply on this forum? What I do:-Click the Reply button in the bottom right hand corner of the post you want to quote. Go to the address bar, and delete the part of the URL that says "&noquote=1". Press enter so as to reload the page. Bingo, the text entry box will now have the post you want to quote included in it, including the code that generates the little right-hand pointing arrow that, if clicked, takes the reader to the post being quoted. But then please judiciously edit that which is being quoted so as to leave the minimum amount of quoted text needed to allow comprehension of your reply.

...or you can type include quoted text here[/quote "close square bracket".

If I typed the ] symbol, then you won't see the VB code!

This is useful if you want to quote someone who is not a ppruner e.g.

[quote=Shakespeare] To be or not to be
