Smile Please

OK, I know this probably seems trivial, but when replying to or posting topics, I seem unable to make the smilie emoticon system work. :) For example I just tried to post a smile, but all I got was a colonclosebracket. Yes, the smilies OFF box is definitely not ticked. All suggestions appreciated. http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/redface.gif (Damn thing still won't work)
