Many Thanks

It is mostly AN12 & IL76 aircraft that operate ex SHJ into both Iraq & Afghanistan. Try Rus Aviation or Starlight Maritime who are brokers but control fleets of both types.

Enjoy yourself......there are lots of others but best start with these 2

Upper airspace across Iran and Afghanistan is traversed by most major carriers on Euro to ME and SE Asia sectors. :ooh:

There is the possibility that whoever you find going to those destinations may very well not like to have that info published.
Also, since the "bad guys" may wish to know those same facts, your credentials and motivations may very well be questioned. Why do you want to know?.

Positioning on a major European carrier, I was amused to see that crossing Iraq, the airshow moving map said we were over Mesopotamia so as not to scare the punters.....no mention of Iraq!

They're no more "hostile" than any New York approach frequency. :) Enjoy the trip.

Atlas, Evergreen, and maybe a couple others also fly them with 747s a few times a week. Nothing special enroute. Military controllers in Kabul Center; occasionally a few "holes" in radio coverage, depending on where the AWACS is.

The flight info is not that secret, check out the DXB and SHJ airport websites and they list flight numbers, destinations and origins and flight times.

It seems that there is a mifia controlling Iraq Airspace with the help of some Russians, known as Rus Aviation in Sharjah. There are news that millions of dollars have been paid in bribes to previous government ministers and ICAA officials. Lets see how new government controls the corruption. At this time there is an exagerated cost to fly freight into Iraq which is detremental to the rebuilding of Iraq as the cost of every thing gets inflated with people charging heavily and creating monoplies there. If you wish to fly in and out of Iraq you pay a heavy service fee to Rus and than that money is distributed between the corrupt Iraqi mafia and the Russians or who so ever it is.

Actually, the vast majority of cargo routes into IQ and AF comes out of Bahrain courtesy of a rather well known German owned integrator.

So we're not to mention the Dubai to Kabul BA Cabin Crew shopping specials that leave DXB every Saturday at 0700Z from Stand 61 and return to the same stand at 1900Z?

OK, I won't ;)

The best one we've found is Hadid for both operations. It is better than the new names and they offer very good prices.

Be careful of the new names !!!

"Russian Mafia controlling Iraq Airspace after US let it go loose"

. . . But some of these "Russian Mafia" en route controllers at Baghdad Center are speaking with a distinct American English accent.

It means that the business as to who flies and under which terms and condition he flies is being controlled by these people. They charge a very heavy fees for letting you into Iraqi Airspace and to do any commercial activity there in Aviation, Iraqi Civil Aviation is an equal partner in that.
Things have started to turn against them from the time these these collaborations have been exposed.
Cheers

Speaking about Iraqi Airspace, what exactly is KOREAN VILLAGE?
