Hi does anyone know anything about
'Our Client, a leading airline is currently seeking suitable people to work as Flight Attendants to be based in sunny Perth. You will be responsible for the safety and comfort for all passengers and crew on board aircraft flying to exciting destinations.'
The assessment centres will be in either BNE or PER over the next 8 weeks but I don't know who the airline is, only that it is not Jetstar. Does anybody know anything about this mystery airline and why they are not putting their name to the recruitment drive?

OZJET perhaps. I don't think VB would do it without asking internals first.

I can't imagine Ozjet...

job disc:

- Our Client, a leading airline is currently seeking suitable people to work as Flight Attendants to be based in sunny Perth.
- Perth Based
- Excellent Benefits
- Great Destinations/flying to exciting destinations

I would have initially leant to Tiger BUT their base is in Melb and it'd be a while before bases in Perth and Bris pop up I'd say... hrmmmm.

Jetstar ARE recruiting for LH in Perth but they go through Staff CV... :)

Doubt skywest as accoring to the applications via their website you need to provide a police check BEFORE you even apply- the job advert does not ask for this. AND they are advertising themselves for new CC :\

Alliance are recruiting for ALL Bases, however I don't think they go to too many 'exciting destinations'. They are also advertising themselves for CC...

Interesting........ :hmm: :ugh:

where did you see the statement? was it an email sent to you or something? Im pretty interested now! It could be National Jet...they recruite for Perth based QantasLink flight attendants and ive heard they are looking for cabin crew.

It's advertised on the SEEK website through Resourceplus recruitment.

I applied then I got sent an invitation to attend an assessment day, though the assessment days have not been set as yet but apparently should be within the next 8 weeks in either bris or perth... :ok:

I still have NO IDEA who it is with though. lol. I'm going to ask when I get a date for an assessment day.

Bree.

RE: NATIONAL JET... They recruit through Staff CV as well yeh? Also they aren't listed as 'recruiting now' for CC.... And they fly within AUS... not too sure how many 'exciting destinations' they fly to....

ARGH... Who knows...

I'm thinking it could be Virgin because of the BNE connection using Resourceplus over a PER based recruitment org, but it is out of character not to put their name to it and they use an online recruitment agent anyway, very puzzling. I don't think it's Alliance because their main development appears to be SA and the mine sites are, as someone pointed out earlier, hardly 'exciting'. I can't see Skywest using a BNE recruitment agency and it is in their interest to put their name to the ad, they'll attract more candidates if they have their name on it. Any other ideas?

Do Virgin have a perth base??? ooooh I hope so....

AN INTERESTING THOUGHT... OK ME AGAIN BEING THE DETECTIVE....

The Email I was sent refers to being invited to an 'assessment centre' now as far as I can tell Jetstar are the only airline that could be a possibility that refer to the first stage of recruitment as an 'assessment day'

Everywhere else is a 'Recruitment day' or 'Panel Interview' ect....

Food for thought... :hmm:

I work for a very small, regional airline in Perth, and i had to check to make sure it wasnt my company that put in the ad! Didnt want to apply for it and have management see me applying for a job i already have! haha. i didnt think it would be it, since i only fly to mine sites (hardly exciting) and my ground school was only 2 weeks not 4-6 as indicated in the ad. its just very frustrating though...obviously we all want to know what airline we are applying for!
Its definately not Skywest, as they have their own ad currently on seek.com...its not skippers since they have been advertising in the west, and use staffcv. at least, i hope its NOT skippers (no offence to any skippers employees) but i dnt think it would be as they mainly fly to mine sites and dnt have much to do with bne.
hmmm. agree with 'yourflightattendant' thats its not NJS. I hope its a good airline, im sure we all are hoping that!

just because the ad says exciting destinations doesn't actualy mean the destinations will be exciting. both Oz Jet and Alliance have bases in Perth and Brisbane. Oz Jet fly to bali once a week from PER.. that could be classed as an exciting destination.. and alliances do return flights for skywest when they need them.. those destinations could be seen as exciting?

really.. what more excitement could you want then a mine site in the middle of no where.. that nice dessert heat.. minimal trees.. way to much read.. really.. when you think of it.. they possibly resemble hell? :). it's odd that they didnt put a name to the application, although i do believe years ago, when ansett collapsed, skywest done the same thing.
