ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Jul 07, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) ----Freight Feeder Aircraft Corporation (a U.S. private corporation 25% owned by Utilicraft Aerospace Industries, Inc. (OTCBB:UITA)) announced today that the company has entered into a Letter of Intent with MK Airlines, the British-based all-cargo carrier, for the purchase of 10 (ten) FF5000 Freight Feeder Aircraft, with an option to purchase an additional 5 (Five).

Mike Kruger, CEO of MK Airlines stated, "The Freight Feeder Aircraft could play an important role in the future development of an air cargo industry that is already short of competitive and cost-effective airframe capacity. Its use of state-of-art technology makes the FF5000 regional container aircraft an innovative option for us to select and MK Airlines is delighted to sign this agreement as the first European airline to commit to this project and to help launch the aircraft into the global market."

John J. Dupont, President and CEO of Freight Feeder Aircraft Corporation stated, "We are very pleased with MK Airlines' decision to enter into an LOI for FF5000 aircraft for its UK cargo airline operations, and for its commitment in helping the FF5000 come to market in the European, and global marketplace. Officials of both Freight Feeder Aircraft Corporation and MK Airlines plan to meet within the year to complete the final negotiations. The purchase order will become finalized upon "first flight" of the FF5000 Prototype currently under construction. The planned completion of the FF5000 Prototype Aircraft is in the spring of 2009.

This might make sense , I have heard that an AN12 from here , (Entebbe) is positioning very soon to start regional flying in West Africa on behalf of MKA?

But how can an airline , in adminstration , be able to expand and invest in operations like this? what about the people who ,no doubt are owed alot of money from MK Airlines.

I have heard alot of posts here about how good they are blah blah blah , but what about the good guys who has lost alot of money , and will not see any of it..... while they are off spending it on new aircraft and operations?

Is this fair I ask?

I thought the AN12's had been banned from Uganda for some time now? I totally agree with the comments about an airline (or any company for that matter) that was in administration last month announcing major expansion plans - it must stick in the craw of the creditors??

This is typical Mike Kruger PR, a letter of intent costs nothing! It gives the impression of a solid company. Creditors beware!

As had alraedy been said a letter of intent cost nothing, & as this aircraft has not flown yet any purchase would be quite along time in the future by which time I am sure that MK hope to be solvent & having reached agreement with all creditors. While in administration MK will not be able to spend any money until the administrators have reached agreements with the creditors & handed control of the finances back to MK. This announcment may well be PR but lets hope for all involved in MK that it is a sign of a bright future for them & that a least one airline that is in trouble in this time of economic downturn that is affecting everyone in the aviation industry is managing to fight its way back from the brink.

1/ an old boy with a chip, in which case, thanks for your chirp, well done for setting up a new profile. Now get over it, I am sure the creditors can look after themselves .. :ok:

2/ a wannabe, in which instance you don't really qualify to have any opinion until at least 2010 .. :=

3/ a creditor yourself ?. Or maybe a PR expert ?. :E

4/ in the industry, perhaps a professional who just has'nt got the b*lls to say "I hate you" to Mike Krugers face ?. :ouch:

So, fill us in ?. Read up a few more postings on MK. With the exception of a very few like yourself, everybody is behind MK 100% :D

whilst i agree with some of the replies, what advantage does this a/c really give to MK, its hardly an a/c to use as a feeder service when the B747 arrvs at the hub with 100 tons of Q7 plts only to be broken down and then to fit on up to six small little dinky containers that only fit on a a/c simular to an SD330 and then the reverse when the dinky containers arrv at the hub to be loaded back onto an a/c that takes plts and cont's upto 3mtrs high, thats an awful lot of wasted space and manpower. i think just a bit of up-beat positive publicity to divert away from the real problems closer to hand.....:*

As delivery of the FF5000 is a long way off perhaps there is a plan to introduce another aircraft that is more complimentary.. I am told the FF5000 was on the cards sometime prior to the administration issue. The success of any relationship with your client to evolve to change. Perhaps a major client has put this in motion with MK ?.

Well your correct about one thing , Mike knows exactly what he is doing , who would buy MKA with all that debt? but if the airline is put into adminstration , the debts are wiped clean , then yes it might a good investment . I know alot of guys in MKA ,and they are some of the best in the business , and I hope nobody is put out of a job. But my opinion is that alot of people have supported the airline and gave credit , now they will be left out of pocket , I dont think that its fair. What has been done , is just another name for "Chapter 11". If your not good enough ,I think you should go out of business ,at least the creditors can try and get some compensation for what they are owed , after all ,they extended credit line in good faith

In some respects its unfair competition to the airlines that are able to make money , and have to compete with an airline that has cut the prices and continued to lose money , then they have all debts wiped.. and they start again , doing the same type of flying with same type of aircraft in these times with high fuel prices , and in my opinion having a flawed business plan.
By the way I am not a dick! I stopped flying some time ago.And I know exactly what I am talking about when it come to freighter ops in Africa/Middle East , and looking at the amount of aircraft MKA recieved in last 3 year , and the flying hours they were doing per month per airframe , never added added up? Just my opinion , no need to string me up!

Kitoro, I would say Administration is not at all similar to Chapter 11, .. the administrators have an obligation to the creditors when they take control. Anyway, the company did not collapse as has been demonstrated and I am sure both debtors and creditors are being dealt with to go forward.MK did expand their fleet in recent years but their problem was simply related to fuel costs and an investment partnership that went sour despite the best efforts of Mike Kruger and his team.
