Applied to Eithad, if we go my wife wants to know how to go about buying furniture for the homes. How much for things like couch's, washer & dryer, T.V's and four bedroom sets, 1 adult and 3 kids. Stuff like that. Any info would help get her to the sand pit Thanks

I don't live in UAE but I have just kitted out a 1 bedroom apartment in Dubai including everything possible for living - ie beds / sofa / tables / chairs / TV / curtains / blinds / sheets / kitchen appliances - absolutely everything for around 20,000 Dirhams. Did it slightly on the cheap but it's all decent quality.

Dining set around 5000 dirhams
Living room aroung 6000 dirhams
Bed set from 3000 to 4000
Fridge from 2000 to 5500
Washer machine 2500 more or less

All items are the Home Centre, Homes'R us, type.

I got 42500 for furnishing and passed that marked long time ago, and haven't finished. Good luck

You might want to consider bringing your own furniture. It will be cheaper than buying new stuff. A full size shipping container costs around 1/2 your settling in allowance (depends on point of origin) and it's surprising how much can be packed into one of those containers.

Yeah, kinda agree. You'll still get the 42000aed anyway.
Plus it's nice having some of your own stuff around an alien environment.
Save it or buy a 103" plasma...

Check your pm's...
