B767 Simulator in Japan

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have been very fortunate to have been granted an interview in Tokyo later this month. I am currently living in KIX and fly the B767F as an F/O. Where may I find an organization, on Japanese soil, where I may lease a simulator, with an instructor, for one final spool up and fine tuning just before the interview, for an hour?

Flying throughout the Far East has been an honor. My current FAA ATP contains a Circle to Land in VMC Limitation. Are there organizations on this side of the Pacific where I may have this Limitation removed?

From your post it is hard to tell if you are interviewing for a Hong Kong airline.

I shall amend the forum to which this thread is addressed to. Part of my thought process included a contigency, where, in the event, I were not granted an offer in NRT later this month, how I may, as expeditiously as possible, remove the Circle to Land in VMC Limitation from my FAA ATP Certificate in Asia. May not be any use to you but Asiana have a 767... I think it is a 767-200. What do you actually need?
I am not sure if they sell 3rd party time either...Alteon does their training though.

There must be 76's in Japan but they would be airline owned and doubt they sell time. Could Seoul be any use to you? I could put you in touch with Alteon if you wish.

Why on Earth would you start a thread entitled "B767 Simulator in Japan", where you request "Where may I find an organization, on Japanese soil, where I may lease a simulator, with an instructor, for one final spool up and fine tuning just before the interview, for an hour?"

I suggest that you go & buy an atlas, and find HONG KONG (hint:look in the index). Then look at where it is in relation to Japan.

You guys really impress me. I was dissappointed, and humored, simultaneously.

It just goes to show how arrogant, and ostentatious, a very few individuals, some how, have managed to cleverly slide their way into our noble profession.

'broadband circuit', I am extremely cognizant of the geographic location of the great city of Hong Kong, as well as a myriad of other intriguing locations I have operated into that you are not aware even exist.

If I may so tactfully suggest, go rent the DVD 'The Aviator', and perhaps by viewing this incredible motion picture, you may come to the realization that leaders explore all options, including those that are unimaginable. Unfortunately, there are a few among us, that are limited in this capacity.

Furthermore, one thing is for certain, I shall never stoop to the level of having to toast over a gin and tonic in order to secure a position, as mundane, humiliating, and demoralizing, as that of a Cruise Relief Pilot.

'Flying Mechanic', just for your information, the aforementioned limitation just so happens to be a byproduct of a specific company Operational Specification.

Amazing!! How can you have an ATP which seems to only allow you to land an A/C of a circle to land in VMC and at the same time be "an F/O on a B767F". You surely have to be P1 rated.

Are you related in any way to an ex Sri Lanken pilot on another thread?

As for watching a Hollywood movie to get flying experience :ugh::ugh: some of us do it in the real world and without the help of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

PS all our relief pilots that you so denigrated are more qualified than you they hold full ATP without any VMC to circle limitations.

Yes mate, the Aviator was a lovely flick. Pity they glossed over the whole Howard Hughes drinking his own piss thing. True leadership.....never give up.....drink your own piss..... You're spot on though. He did explore every option, including one that I myself would have foolishly ignored. Have a guess which one!

If you are flying a 767 now why would you need to go in the sim for the interview. The cx interview is very straight forward, and basically if you can fly the jet you are on now you will pass the sim check.
